Medical Transcription Services – New Business Trends
Jul 31st
Its a fact, that in todays corporate world the need for medical transcription services is expanding at near exponential perportions. In layman’s terms, the task of a medical transcriber is record medical data and records into soft copy format that can then be read by individuals. Due to the diverse range of medical specialties, there is an almost equal number of dictation specialists to address them individually.
A Growing Segment of the Business Community
The health care field is a growing industry and as it grows an almost corresponding number of companies are appearing every day to answer the need for medical dictation services in a wide range of areas in the medical field. This would include hospitals, laboratories, physician groups, clinics of all varieties as well as individual doctors and medical practitioners.
Overseas Sources
As a result of the expanding need for reliable medical transcribers, many of these new services are based in foreign countries, such as India and the Philippines. While it is highly cost effective, one problem that must be addressed on an ongoing basis is the technical language that is contained in medical documents.
Technical Language Specialists
This in turn, has led to most if not all of the off shore medical transcription service providers to employ at least one full time technical medical language specialist who’s job it is to insure that all of the complex medical terminology contained in the final transcribed documents is accurate in every sense of the word.
Outsource Quickbooks – Keeping Up With Modern Day Business Trends
Jul 27th
Bookkeeping is an important aspect in a business. It monitors the flow of funds, assets and liabilities, and other relevant financial data. It provides a picture of whether everything in the business is doing well or not. Because it is important, a business owner needs to give attention to this aspect. Outsource QuickBooks will be the best way to handle those aspects in an easy way.
In the traditional way of bookkeeping, there were lots of flaws and imperfections that most of the time affected the business operation as a whole. This is because the traditional way of bookkeeping relied on a bookkeeper to do the manual task of keeping the books in hard copies. The flaws with the old way of bookkeeping (that is employing bookkeepers to do manual tasks) are:
• has the tendency to make mistakes
• may have the tendency to delay reports necessary for business decisions
• spend considerable amount for cost of hiring and employing
• spend considerable amount of overhead costs for benefits, incentives, tables, chairs, office space, and the like
Before the technology was only used for the accounting systems employed. In the modern times however, this has been challenged with the advent of the Internet. The Internet has opened a wide opportunity of bookkeeping in an easy and cost effective manner. Those who are more advanced in terms of technology were way ahead in competition.

Common Swaziland Government Business Trends – ‘The Case of Income Tax and the Road Transportation Board’
Jul 20th
Iâm fortunate to be in a study group with people from different working environments and industries as I pursue my Masters in Business Leadership at UNISA by correspondence from Swaziland. Itâs always interesting to learn how some business declares themselves loss making to escape taxation while they make millions. This was declared by a colleague whose business clients undoubtedly make millions yet they send false reports to government income tax offices. The only sad part is that the employees are the ones who shoulder the government on taxes as they have no ways of escaping. I happen to be an employee who knows how much the government collects from my salary. I bet, if all my annual tax could come to me at the end of the year, I would take my family for a holiday in Mauritius because itâs relatively high.Â
Â
Who cares when tax collectors are sleeping on the job. It is very common to have managers doing their personal businesses at work while government work is suffering. This goes to extend of abusing working tools like computers, cars and the telephone. Apparently, no one cracks the whip.
Â
Another good example is that at the Road Transportation Board where two officers are reported only to come to work for at most five hours and sometimes not at all yet they get their full pay at the end of the month. This is no surprise because the boss knows them and fails to call them to order for reasons best known to him. This undoubtedly results in long queues from staff shortage, high work pressure levels for the few that remain to do the job and to fruitless expenditure on full salaries to employees that donât deserve it.
Small Business Trends – Moving Home Again
Jul 16th
With many small businesses opening up each and every year there are always people who are out looking around for ways and methods that they can have their own business and work from home. After all the dream of working from home and being, your own boss is something that most people dream of as the ultimate job. After all, why spend hours commuting to and from work when your commute can simply be to your computer in your own home.
The biggest problem that so many people encounter when trying to work from home is trying to stay motivated and focused so that the business they are working so hard to develop actually stays on the right track and keeps moving forward. From some simple to some complex ideas, there are numerous things you can do to help keep your home based productivity up and flowing.
First, ensure you have a good computer. If you are trying to work on a computer that resembles a dinosaur then you are asking for problems, expensive repairs and a lot of downtime. You must have a computer that can provide you with enough hard drive space to hold all of your client files, business files and any other information you need. You also need a computer that has enough RAM You will be able to access the information when you need, instead of having to continuously apologize to clients about having to wait for your slow computer.
Small Business Finance – Recent Trends For Commercial Loans
Jul 10th
There were both positive and negative developments for business loans during 2007. These will have an immediate impact on business financing strategies for borrowers.
When reviewing commercial loan developments that occurred during the past 12-18 months, there are mixed results when looking at the best and worst trends. Many of the working capital changes that emerged last year have important ramifications for borrowers refinancing or seeking new financing.
A major commercial property investment trend has been some increasing activity due to the current decline in viable residential investing options. This seems to be particularly true for business opportunity situations which do not have a real estate component, an aspect of increasing importance to investors who want to avoid property ownership at this time.
For business cash advance and credit card processing services, the past 12 months have been characterized by significant changes. There were many providers both entering and exiting these business activities. It is of course good news that some ineffective providers were forced to leave this specialized working capital management service area. But the bad news is that there are still many new and inexperienced companies attempting to operate in this complex field.
A similar trend involving inexperience can be seen in viewing the large number of residential financing brokers now attempting to transition into business financing. Since by some estimates well over 100,000 residential financing employees lost their jobs during 2007, there is a real possibility that thousands of unqualified brokers will be entering the business finance field during 2008 or have already started the process.
